Q) I get a message in Blackboard that I do not have the correct version of Java and/or the My Computer icon will not load when I try to add an attachment. What can I do?
A) You will need to uninstall any versions of the Java Runtime Environment currently installed on your computer and install version 1.6 by following the directions below.
- Click Start
- Click Control Panel
- Click on Add or Remove Programs
- Find any "J2SE Runtime Environment" versions listed and remove them

- And then the appropriate platform. For most this will be either of the first two links (Windows Platform)
